Funeral services for Miss Ella Schmidt, who died July 4 [1972] at the Faith Lutheran home were held Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Edward Land officiating. Interment was at Oak Grove cemetery at Mitchell.

Ella Lydia Schmidt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael F. Schmidt, was born Oct. 31, 1882 in Dane Co. Wi. She was baptized in Dane Co. and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church near Grafton. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.

She moved with her parents to Iowa in 1891 and lived at Plymouth a short time before moving to a farm near Mithcell. In 1918 she moved to Osage to care for her mother until her death in 1935. After which she helped and cared for a number of Osage families. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Miss Schmidt was a resident of Faith Home since 1967.
